offers a scenic hunt in the Southwestern Colorado Rocky Mountains. Hunters will be transported on horseback into the scenic San Juan Mountains. The San Juan Mountains are known for their scenic beauty and abundance of wildlife. We suggest every hunter bring a camera to capture the breathtaking views.

Our hunting area, Unit 74 in the San Juan Mountains of Colorado, has an abundant amount of deer and elk. The bulls to cow ratio in this area is excellent with many mature bulls. In past years we have had an excellent success rate.

BOW HUNTERS

Archery season begins the last of August and runs through the last of September. Archery Unlimited offers a variety of archery hunts for the hunter to choose from. We highly recommend the drop camps due to easy hunting within walking distance. The camps are approximately 11,000'+ in elevation with dark spruce timber and open parks. Landmarks are abundant. Finding our way around in the woods is very easy. This coupled with an affordable price makes drop camps a popular choice. We also offer deluxe one on one hunts.

DROP CAMP HUNT:

Drop camps are an inexpensive way for our clients to "do it themselves". We offer two types of drop camps:

Standard drop camp - you provide your own tent, equipment and food. Archery Unlimited Outfitters will check on you every other day and will give advice as to the best way to hunt the area.

Deluxe drop camp - Archery Unlimited Outfitters provides the tent and camping equipment. The client provides the food and does their own cooking. Archery Unlimited Outfitters will check on you every other day and will give advice as to the best way to hunt the area.

HUNT FEES

(Based on a 5 day hunt)

A regular hunt will be five days long, starting on Saturday and ending on Wednesday. Hunters will be packed into their campsite the Friday before the hunt and will be packed out the Thursday after the hunt. If the hunter wishes to extend hunting days arrangements can be made.
